The exercises that could be done in a gym are definitely going to be more than the workouts at home. It all basically depends on the equipments that the gym can have. If your home has nice gym equipments then you could do same workouts. If however there is not much equipment in the house, there are still exercises that can be done.
Cardiovascular exercises are the exercises that make use of the muscles of the heart. So basically it is any exercise since all exercises engage the heart muscles. Generally the cardio exercises are aerobic exercises that give higher heart rate for a prolonged time. They also incorporate the breathing as opposed to the anaerobic exercises. Basically all aerobics are cardiovascular exercises but not all cardio exercises are aerobic exercises. And so they could be workouts at home that you could do on your own.
One of the good workouts at home is to run. There are many ways on running. Some run with weights. Some would do cross training run or do trail running. If you are just a beginner in running take it slowly and begin slowly. You do not have to be so fast and do a long distance right away. Take it step by step and increase the speed and length gradually. Another workout you could do our lunges. Start off with the usual lunges. Do 10 repetitions and do 5 pull-ups or 10 dumbbells or barbell rows. When done with that do 20 knee tucks, standing position. After that do 10 pushups and end with 1 minute of jumping rope or jumping jacks. Do the whole series 3 to 5 times. You’ll most likely get to have increased heart rate.
